Miles for Meso on KSDK NewsChannel 5 St. Louis with Jennifer Blome -

Earlier today, Jennifer Blome NewsChannel 5 KSDK, the NBC affiliate St. Louis, spoke with Julie Gundlach on awareness of mesothelioma and Miles for Meso 5K runs / walk this weekend in Alton, Illinois, and St. Louis in October. Julie is a resident of St. Louis who lives with peritoneal mesothelioma since she was diagnosed at the age of 35 it three years ago and was supported Alton event and spearhead the effort St. Louis. You can see the conversation here.

Julie did an excellent job of articulating the critical need for research of mesothelioma, the dangers of asbestos exposure and how events like Miles for Meso can contribute to awareness necessary.

It is exciting to see Miles for Meso come to life. But it is even more exciting to see using the event to generate attention mesothelioma deserves. Simmons Hanly Conroy has represented thousands of families across the country affected by mesothelioma. We saw the devestation it causes firsthand. That is why we are committed to lead the fight for the legal rights of victims. That's why we support research of mesothelioma throughout the country.

If you're not registered for Miles for Meso, there is still time. I encourage you to participate in both the race Alton and St. Louis race (we had over 400 register for Alton alone!). One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to research mesothelioma.

Go on race day.
