How to Give Back to Veterans in Metro St. Louis this Veterans’ Day -

The servicemen and women who have served in our armed forces have always sacrificed much to make our country better place to live. But it was not until the beginning of the past century, one day was set aside to recognize their sacrifices.

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month armistice was signed in 1918. That day the fighting along the western front of what would become known as the First World War

November 11 was immediately designated a national holiday to celebrate peace and remember the sacrifice given by millions of soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. In 1954, President Eisenhower signed legislation that changed "Armistice" to "Veterans Day" to honor the former US of all wars fighters - not just the First World War

Over recent years, the firm has done much to help veterans represent them in the courtroom or by giving their time, talent and treasure to help veterans organizations. However, more people are
needed to strengthen and help support our veterans the year. Keep reading to learn about the former company veterans organizations helped in the past that could use your support, too.

Tuesday, November 13, Madison County lawyers will be available to answer legal questions of veterans at the county courthouse Madison law Library in Edwardsville. Pro bono services are available on topics of evictions, foreclosures, estate planning, child custody, divorce and small claims.

Thanksgiving Dinner Veterans

Home Missouri Veterans need several volunteers to help serve our veterans Thanksgiving dinner. The event will take place on Thursday, November 15 of this year to 18 hours Volunteers are needed to help transport veterans and act as servers. For the past two years, several farms employees left work early to attend this event. They all describe it as a very rewarding experience.

Commission to support veterans
Madison County Government

The Commission for Assistance to veterans in Madison County help about 25,000 veterans who are residents of the counties and were honorably discharged. Services include domestic assistance or financial emergency, Veterans Treatment Courts, and more. The organization is currently working on building a veteran volunteer network to help serve veterans in Madison County.

volunteer opportunities The include being a mentor for the mentoring program veterans treatment court, helping with veterans without housing program for homeless, visiting veterans veterans in hospice / nursing care, veterans of the tombstone / grave of marketing inventory / care, general office work and more.

Joshua Chamberlain Society
St. Louis nonprofit group HELP Fallen Heroes & Military Wounded

Last year the Joshua Chamberlain Society was the beneficiary of the golf tournament of employee annual Simmons Foundation. This is a great organization that works to "adopt" the former St. Louis fighters who were
injured or killed during their military service. All funds donated to the organization directly help JCS Heroes and their families. The projects include remodeling the home to improve the quality of life of the wounded hero, the establishment and funding of financing colleges for children of veterans who have succeeded, or purchase of specialized furniture for the veteran.
