It is again that time of year when the mesothelioma community descended on Washington, DC for the International Symposium 2010 on malignant mesothelioma hosted by the Foundation mesothelioma applied research
This year, three days meso conference runs from June 10-12, 2010. the first day will be devoted to the visit of Congress leaders. Day two and three will be presentations by researchers and physicians on the most recent developments in the treatment of meso. Support sessions will also be available for meso patients and their families throughout the event. Several Simmons representatives will be present to show our support

in the conference this year, MARF recognize three families whose selflessness has helped raise awareness about the dangers of asbestos exposure and mesothelioma. According MARF:
"The Bendix family, the Ruble family and the Sterling family have endured tremendous personal loss to mesothelioma hand. Knowing that their loved ones could not personally benefit from the results of their work, they got together with friends and communities to provide hope for future generations by funding three critical research projects through the research program of the Meso Foundation. "
It is the contributions of families and individuals like this that make us come closer to the day when better treatment options become available and closer to finding a cure. I encourage everyone to join us as mesothelioma community come together to fight against this orphan disease.
