Most people have never heard of mesothelioma. They do not understand the devastation involved in a mesothelioma diagnosis. They do not realize that there is no cure or that mesothelioma is one of the least funded by the National Cancer Institute cancer. For families and friends of those diagnosed with the disease, the potential for raising awareness and funds are important because they can make a difference.
Miles for Meso is a "fun run and walk" year that brings together mesothelioma survivors, newly diagnosed people, and family members of victims of mesothelioma awareness and research funding. This is an event in our company was honored to create and sponsor since the first race in 09.
Each year the races are held in Illinois, Indiana, Virginia and Florida. in over the past four years, the races have raised more than $ 0,000 in product for the Foundation for applied research mesothelioma, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding better treatments and a cure for this disease is life-changing. the running is a fun educational event for people of all ages and athletic abilities.
