The effort funded by the Federal supporting asbestos screenings for residents of Libby Montana comes to an end. September 19 is the last day for residents of Libby to receive a free screening through the MASA program (Surveillance Activities and Montana Asbestos Screening). The initiative began in 03 and provided about 4,500 lung tests in Libby.
The screenings can help find early signs of a disease related to asbestos. If you have not been examined, additional resources may be available through Libby asbestos medical.
