Julie Gundlach, a client of Simmons Hanly Conroy and an inspiration for mesothelioma patients everywhere, was included as one of the winners for the 7th edition awareness to asbestos international Conference, held this year April 1-3 in Atlanta.
Each year, the conference recognizes outstanding individuals from around the world that serve as a voice for asbestos victims, raise awareness about the dangers of asbestos exposure and advocate for a worldwide ban of asbestos.
Julie will be presented the award Alan Reinstein for its commitment to education, advocacy and support to countless patients and families, according to the advocacy organization to asbestos diseases which is sponsoring the conference.
Julie regularly volunteers, organizes fundraisers and supporters of politicians on the need for a total ban of asbestos in the United States, it has also repeatedly said his survival story news organizations in an effort to help people realize that if the deadly consequences of asbestos exposure can happen to him - a mother and photographer in his 30s- it can happen to everyone.
especially this summer, Julie's story was included in a piece of thorough investigation into the dangers of asbestos by the McClatchy News Service and was available for publication in newspapers worldwide . It also helped to promote Miles for Meso and Mesothelioma Awareness Day in the Holy
