Generally, these surveys come from two different types of people. The first are individuals who have been exposed to asbestos recently. This could be during a renovation of the house they were yesterday, or perhaps they learned that a house, they lived in a number of years contained asbestos.
For these surveys, it is important to remember that there is a latency period of about 15 to 30 years from when people are exposed to these materials when they develop a disease resulting. So the probability that you are sick of your exposure is highly unlikely, but if you are concerned we recommend that you make your doctor aware of your exposure so they can monitor your symptoms go ahead.
