The need for mesothelioma education, awareness and research has never been more urgent. Mesothelioma is a rare but devastating cancer linked to asbestos exposure. Our firm is committed to funding research awareness and strengthening of the disease so that we can help provide critical support necessary for families throughout Illinois, Missouri and the entire country.

We hope you can join us if you are competing for cash prizes, simply enjoy nature, or show your support for awareness of mesothelioma. Participants will receive a hi-tech t-shirt, long sleeve running. The first three in men and women categories will receive cash valued $ 500 (first place), $ 0 (second place) and $ 100 (third place). There will also be five $ 100 cash prize draws.

With Mesothelioma awareness generation, a rare and aggressive cancer caused by exposure to asbestos, sponsorship Simmons Hanly Conroy includes matching and donating all the costs to the mesothelioma applied research Foundation, a national non-profit dedicated entrance to fund critical research for better treatment options and, ultimately, find a cure for mesothelioma.

Miles for Meso participants will also have the opportunity to sign a petition to support a movement at the federal level to declare September 26 as Mesothelioma Awareness Day. Gaining national recognition of September 26 as Mesothelioma Awareness Day is an important step in the ongoing battle against cancer. We look forward to the support of our metropolitan area runners, walkers and friends to help make a difference by participating in a big event.

A second Miles for Meso event will be held October 11 at the University of the city and headed by a Julie Gundlach mesothelioma awareness advocate.

in the future, we hope we can continue this race in our community and to extend it to others. As we generate awareness of mesothelioma, we gain momentum in fundraising, developing better treatments, and work even harder to find a cure.
