Share Your Mesothelioma Story with ADAO -

Have you been affected by exposure to asbestos and are now facing an illness related to asbestos, such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, or asbestos? Do you have a friend or family member who is fighting this disease or suffered an illness related to asbestos? You are not alone.

Thousands of people are affected by diseases linked to asbestos, and all matters of history. By sharing your experience of how you or someone you love has been affected by exposure to asbestos, you can join with other people like you to find strength, hope and comfort within this agonizing situation.

The Awareness Organization diseases asbestos working to raise awareness about the risks of asbestos exposure and the diseases related to it. ADAO prides itself on being the "voice of the victims" and offers a place of fellowship for mesothelioma and patients with diseases related to asbestos, friends and family to come together to support the cause and the other.

One way Adão tries to support people affected by asbestos is encouraging people to "Share Your Story".

It is easy to participate in "Share your story." Just visit the site ADAO, click "Share Your Story" and answer the question "How has your life changed asbestos" and submit a photo of yourself.

However, to protect your privacy and any legal action you may have going on, please remember not to share sensitive information. If you are unsure about what is safe to share, just ask. We suggest that you do not include your name, birth date or other identifying information.

ADAO has already collected more than fifty stories of patients, their spouses and their families. Now the organization moves beyond stories in line with plans to compile these stories in a book entitled "shared histories:. How asbestos has changed our lives"

Any person who supports their history on March 1 will be included in the book that will be distributed during the next ADAO March 22-24 conference. The book will also be available online at a later date.

By submitting your mesothelioma or history of the disease linked to asbestos on the site ADAO you can join the community and help raise awareness of the exposure to asbestos. Just visit the ADAO website and fill out the form to share your story with other people like you.
